Psalm 86

"You are the one and only God. What miracles! What wonders! What greatness belongs to you! Teach me more about you, how you work and how you move, so that I can walk onward in your truth until everything within me brings honor to your name.”

‭‭Psalms‬ ‭86‬:‭10‬-‭11‬ ‭TPT‬‬

I recently had a vision while meditating on Psalm 86:10-11.

In the vision, I was riding “piggyback” on Jesus. At first the Lord was walking with me on His back, then He began to run. After a bit, He stopped and rested. The vision was so refreshing. I was being carried yet moving as one with the Lord.

While still in the vision, a phrase came to mind.

I heard in recesses of my soul, “bear your cross”.

I came out of the vision knowing the Holy Spirit had revealed a “law based belief” in my heart. Before I had a chance to ask any questions, I heard the spirit of truth:

“ Bearing your cross is simply trusting what I did for you and walking with Holy Spirit.”

Holy Spirit had shown me a vignette of my mental struggle between abiding in Christ and self effort.

As you meditate on the verses, pay attention to “mind traffic”. Are we entertaining thoughts that mix resting in Him with self striving?

Holy Spirit, lead us into all truth until everything within us brings You honor.

In Jesus name amen.
