"You are the one and only God. What miracles! What wonders! What greatness belongs to you! Teach me more about you, how you work, and how you move, so that I can walk onward in your truth until everything within me brings honor to your name.”
Psalms 86:10-11 TPT
I recently had a vision while meditating on Psalm 86:10-11.
In the vision, I was riding “piggyback” on Jesus. At first, the Lord was walking with me on His back, then He began to run. After a bit, He stopped and rested. The vision was so refreshing. I was being carried yet moving as one with the Lord.
While still in the vision, a phrase came to mind.
I heard in the recesses of my soul, “Bear your cross”.
I came out of the vision knowing the Holy Spirit had revealed a “law-based belief” in my heart. Before I had a chance to ask any questions, I heard the spirit of truth:
“ Bearing your cross is simply trusting what I did for you and walking with Holy Spirit.”
Holy Spirit had shown me a vignette of my mental struggle between abiding in Christ and self-effort.
As you meditate on the verses, pay attention to “mind traffic”. Are we entertaining thoughts that mix resting in Him with self-striving?
Holy Spirit, lead us into all truth until everything within us brings You honor.
In Jesus' name amen.
